🗞️ News

EU finally passed the AI Act

The European Union passed the world's first major law to regulate AI. Called the EU AI Act, it establishes rules around high-risk AI applications to ensure they are safe and respect fundamental rights.

The Act divides AI into different risk categories and will be implemented in stages starting in 2025. Experts say it could set a global standard for AI governance.

AI-generated product pages

Amazon is launching a new AI tool that allows sellers on its marketplace to generate product pages for items by simply pasting a link to the product's page on an external website.

Amazon's AI will then automatically extract relevant information like descriptions, images, and specifications from the linked page to build out a listing on Amazon.

Anthropic’s fast & affordable AI

Anthropic has released Claude 3 Haiku, a new AI model that is the fastest and most affordable in its class. It can process text and visual data rapidly, making it well-suited for applications where response time is critical or volumes are high.

While less powerful than Claude 3 Opus, Haiku balances performance and cost. It has advanced vision capabilities and security features for enterprise use.

That’s all.

Stay curious, leaders!
