🗞️ News

GPT-5 in summer?

OpenAI is expected to release GPT-5, as early as this summer. Sam Altman said he expects a significant improvement comparable to the jump between GPT-3 and GPT-4.

However, OpenAI must first complete rigorous "red teaming" to thoroughly test GPT-5 for any ethical or safety issues before public release.

AI fixing code

GitHub has launched a new beta version of an AI tool called code-scanning autofix that can automatically fix code vulnerabilities.

It is currently available for JavaScript, Typescript, Java, and Python code. According to GitHub, the tool can fix over two-thirds of vulnerabilities without developers having to edit any code themselves.

UN’s AI voting

The UN General Assembly is set to vote on the first-ever resolution focused on AI. It aims to close the digital divide and make sure developing nations can access AI's benefits.

It also wants to protect human rights as AI systems are developed. If passed, it would show global agreement on the need for principles to guide AI's development and use.

That’s all.

Stay curious, leaders!
