🗞️ Expanded News

Grok can see

xAI announced Grok-1.5 Vision (Grok-1.5V), which is their first multimodal model that can process both text and images.

It can perform tasks like writing code from diagrams, calculating calories from photos of food, and generating bedtime stories from drawings. Grok-1.5V will be available to early testers and existing Grok users soon.

Create photos out of your memories

An AI company called Synthetic Memories is using AI models like DALL-E 2 to generate images from people's memories by taking data from their brains.

They tested this on an 84-year-old woman from Barcelona to create an image of her memory of trying to spot her father in prison from her balcony as a child. The founder says the images feel very real to the people whose memories they depict.

AI for food ordering

A new service from the company Kea allows customers to place food delivery orders from services like DoorDash and Uber Eats by calling Kea's AI voice assistant, which guides them through placing their orders.

The AI then sends the order details to the appropriate delivery platform.

That’s all.

Stay curious, leaders!
