Mustafa Suleyman left Inflection AI

Mustafa Suleyman has been appointed CEO of Microsoft's new AI division. He will oversee consumer AI products like Copilot, Bing, and Edge.

Microsoft is also hiring some Inflection employees. The new division will continue partnerships with OpenAI and build products using their foundation models.

Saudi Arabia’s $40B

Saudi Arabia plans a $40 billion fund to invest heavily in AI startups and technology. This would make Saudi Arabia the largest global investor in AI, showcasing their ambitions to diversify their economy and establish influence.

The fund is being organized with help from investment banks and may partner with top Silicon Valley VC firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Nvidia CEO’s predictions

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang believes that artificial general intelligence (AGI) on the level of passing a specific skills-based test like a medical exam is achievable within 5 years.

Huang also states that the problem of AI "hallucinations" where systems generate plausible but false information can be solvable.

That’s all.

Stay curious, leaders!
