🗞️ Expanded News

Warren Buffett’s AI investments

Warren Buffett has made significant AI investments through his company Berkshire Hathaway. The largest holding is Apple, worth $156.9 billion. The other stocks discussed are Amazon, Microsoft, Broadcom, NXP Semiconductors, Qualcomm, IBM, and Alphabet.

All of these companies are involved in developing or utilizing AI technologies. These could continue to deliver strong long-term returns as AI adoption grows.

Infrastructure maintenance using AI

Cyvl.ai is a startup that helps civil engineering firms track the condition of transportation infrastructure like roads, highways, and rail. Their digital tools can create a "digital twin" of infrastructure and predict repair needs.

Cyvl.ai uses sensors and AI to monitor transportation infrastructure and help engineering firms and governments plan repairs.

Travel planning made easy

Google is testing a new AI-powered feature in Search Generative Experience (SGE) to generate custom travel itineraries for users. This AI plans a trip for a certain location and duration and creates a detailed itinerary leveraging information from across the web.

Currently, this feature is only available in English for trips within the US. Google is also working on AI translation and other travel-related features.

That’s all.

Stay curious, leaders!
